It all began with a dream – a vision to establish a world-class manufacturing facility, to create products of unmatched international standards, and to be second to none in quality. The mission was clear: to compete with the finest brands in the world, and to ensure that every individual who experienced Raha products would sleep comfortably and dream their dreams.
In October 1979, at Darsait Heights, Oman, five ambitious individuals came together in a modest 2,500 sq. m shed, sharing this powerful dream. From those humble beginnings, Raha has blossomed into a brand of global recognition, synonymous with comfort, durability, and excellence.
Today, Raha stands tall as a beacon of quality, innovation, and international prestige, its products known and trusted across the globe. What started with five people has grown into a workforce of over 500, and the small shed has been replaced by a state-of-the-art manufacturing complex sprawling across 95,000 sq. m in the Rusayl Industrial Estate.
As Raha expanded, so did its reputation. Poly Products, the parent company, transformed into a multimillion-dollar global enterprise, with its flagship brand Raha enjoying a truly international brand equity. From the Middle East to Europe and Southeast Asia, Raha is a name that ensures people rest comfortably.
In August 2005, Poly Products ventured further into luxury living by forming a joint venture with the renowned Italian company Caliatalia. Together, they established Emporio Calia LLC, dedicated to manufacturing and marketing premium leather sofa sets across the Middle East.
Continuing its momentum, Poly Products secured a licensing agreement with Advansa of the Netherlands in 2008, becoming the official Middle Eastern manufacturer and marketer of the prestigious DACRON range of sleep comfort products.
By 2010, the company expanded its offerings, launching the Cloud Nine range of pocketed spring mattresses tailored for the hospitality industry and luxury retail clients. This move strengthened Raha’s position as a leading supplier to some of the most discerning hotels and clients across the region.
In 2018, Raha’s growth went beyond Oman, as they launched a full-fledged manufacturing facility with warehousing and sales operations in Qatar, serving the growing market in the Gulf.
By 2024, Raha’s vision for excellence in service and quality became a reality across the Middle East. The company established its own warehousing, distribution, and marketing infrastructure in Oman, Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, Dammam, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar, offering personalized, local service to customers right at their doorstep.
Raha’s reach extends far beyond the individual household market. Today, its products cater to both domestic homes and the contract market for leading hotel chains and institutions across the MENA region. With their high-quality bedding, mattresses, and seating solutions, Raha’s products can be found in over 950,000 hotel rooms and countless homes across the region.
Clients include some of the most prestigious names in hospitality, such as Accor, the Starwood Group, and International Hotels Group (IHG), all of whom trust Raha to meet their exacting standards for both quality and safety.
